MHS hosted the local final of the Plain English Speaking Award on Monday May 12. Students from Braidwood Central School and Bombala High School joined MHS students in the competition.
After years of participating in the competition via Zoom, MHS was excited to host the final and be involved in a face-to-face round. The students had two speeches to do, one a prepared piece and the other on an impromptu topic, with just three minutes to prepare for the three-minute speech.
Both MHS students Amelie Battye (pictured left) and Maya Ferguson (pictured right) performed well, with Amelie successfully progressing to the regional round. Well done, Amelie.
Our wonderful teacher Ms Trish Rowling spoke on ABC South East radio about how it all went. Have a listen via the link: https://shorturl.at/sHVai
