Learning

At our school, we teach the NSW curriculum and offer many different subjects to support each student’s learning. We know that development of skills in literacy and numeracy are the building blocks for learning and for everyday life. Our teachers use effective teaching strategies to help students achieve their goals.

Students learn a wide range of subjects in the NSW curriculum. They build skills, think creatively and prepare for life beyond school.

At Monaro High School we offer a variety of subjects, please see below.

SBAT

For students, a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship (SBAT) is a head start to a career combining paid work, training and school. Not only will students get an industry recognised national qualification, but also unit credit towards the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC).

Monaro High School values its partnerships with local businesses, who provide pathways for our students, helping them gain valuable skills and build strong futures.

Many career options are available for students looking to do an SBAT, which they can start in Year 10 or Year 11.

For more information about SBATs, feel free to contact us.
