MHS girls claim Eurobodalla Basketball Zone Championship

The open boys and girls basketball teams travelled to Merimbula in Week 4 for the Zone Championships. Both teams had busy draws with more than four games scheduled for each team on the day.

Ms Buckley and Mrs Ingram could not be more pleased with the effort, sportsmanship and overall team spirit that both the boys and girls teams displayed on the day. The boys were unable to get a win on the board but showed tenacity and a “never give up attitude” in all games. The girls were victorious in all of their games and were crowned Eurobodalla Zone Champions! They will now play-off at Regionals being held in Goulburn at the end of the month.

A big thank you to past students Bryanna Wittig and Michael Pevere (class of 2024) who travelled to Merimbula and refereed games for Monaro. Your help on the day was much appreciated by both staff and students.
